What data we collect and why

• Booking a lesson: your name, email, level and goal, and anything you write in the booking form. We use it to organise and give your lesson. The booking calendar is provided by Cal.com.
• Paying: payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on this website.
• Waitlist for the SIELE book and the video course: your email address and the product you are interested in. We use it to tell you when they launch, and we only email you about this if you tick the consent box.

SIELE practice tools (private pages for students)

Students who have an access code can use two tools with AI feedback: writing practice and speaking practice. This is what happens to your data:

• Writing. The text you write is sent to an artificial intelligence service (Anthropic) to produce the feedback. We do not store your text or the feedback on this website.
• Speaking. Your voice is recorded in your browser, and only after you tick a consent box. The recording is sent to a speech-recognition service (Cloudflare Workers AI) that turns it into text, and the audio is not stored. The text is then sent to Anthropic to produce the feedback. We do not keep your recordings.
• Sending your work to me. Only if you press “Send to Cris” do I receive your text, the AI feedback and, for speaking, your recording if you tick the box to include it. It reaches me by email, together with the name and email address you choose to give. I keep it only for as long as I need to review it with you.
• Your access code. It is saved in your browser so you do not have to type it again, and the server uses it to check that you may use the tools and to know which student used them. It is not used for anything else.
• The feedback is automatic and approximate. It is not an official SIELE score, it can contain mistakes, and it is not used to take decisions about you.

The legal basis is that you ask for the tool by pressing the button and, for your voice, your consent. You can stop at any time by closing the page, and you can delete the recordings from the page before you leave it.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment data for as long as the law requires for accounting and taxes. We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or the launch emails have been sent. Practice work that you send to me is kept only as long as needed to review it with you.

Who receives your data

I use providers that process data on my behalf to run the service: Cal.com (bookings), Stripe (payments), Resend (sending emails, including booking-related messages, the contact form, waitlist confirmations and the practice work you choose to send me), Cloudflare (hosting of this website and, for the speaking practice, speech recognition) and Anthropic (the AI that writes the feedback in the practice tools). These providers may keep technical records for a limited time under their own terms. If you write through the contact form, I use your name, email and message only to reply to you. Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States; those transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. I do not sell your data.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. You can also unsubscribe from the waitlist at any time with the link in each email. If you think your data is not handled properly, you can complain to your data protection authority.
